Day 7 Recoupling [4 / 4]
Alex is last to make his choice. He steps forward and looks at the two heel in front of him, he doesn’t know which to pick.
It’s between Merylee or Lydia.
He's had romance and arguments with both of them. He fancied Merylee for a while, but she just told him she doesn’t feel the same. And as for Lydia, they’re currently coupled up but things didn’t work out for them on day 1. Who will he pick?
Alex: I’ve got a hard choice. A really hard choice. And, it’s even harder knowing the heel I don’t pick will die. Things between me and both of you didn’t really work out, and some of the wounds you both left are fresher than the others. But, I have to go with my.. [Hes struggles] Heart. And my heart is telling me to pick neither of you.
Merylee and Lydia’s faces drop.
Alex: But I have to pick one. So... The heel I would like to couple up with is....
He freezes, he realises who is going to die.
Alex: Merylee.
He goes to turn to Lydia but as he starts to apologise a large butchers knife falls from the ceiling lodging into her head.
She screams in agony and betrayal. No one has picked her. She’s going to to die. She falls to the floor, twitching. She’s still alive but is slowly, painfully dying.
Merylee and Alex both scream at the top of their lungs, the other couples can tell what has happened. They know someone has died.
Alex: We should.. go.
Merylee: I think I’m gonna be sick. [Turning away from Lydia’s body] Thank you, by the way.
Alex: It was a hard choice. Consider yourself lucky.
Alex storms off into the other room where all the couples are sat. They eagerly wait to see which heel is going to also walk through with him.
They see Merylee and are excited but equally upset that it means Lydia is dead.
Merylee and Alex take their seats, without making eye contact.
