STATUS SO FAR: Day 1: I didn't have a ton of time, but I started transferring my handwritten scrawl to digital, so that I can expand some ideas. I plan to continue that while also working on the handwritten scenes. Creative Time: 30mins, super early Day 2: Wrote scenes during lunch. Had a short lunch today because of appointments. Creative Time: 30mins, during lunch break Day 3: Ideating during lunch while re-reading the outline part of the guide book. Creative Time: 20mins, before work; 25mins, during lunch break; 20mins, after dinner Day 4: Transferring scrawl to digital, and expanding. Its a two fold process that I've explained in the past, where in the process of transferring notes, I always inevitably expand and clean up those notes and ideas. This is part of why I like change mediums back and forth from hand written to typing. Its as though my brain is trained to noticed different things in each medium and each medium has its own inherent benefits. Written is more free when initial ideas or dialogue is coming out of my mind onto the paper but typing is better for bigger organizational items and catching grammar and spelling errors. Creative Time: 45mins, during lunch break; 20mins, train home Day 5: Still transferring notes. This is a good process. I am also trying to get back to expanding and understanding the sequences for secondary characters and antagonists. I only focused on SIMO in the hand written process because I didn't have much paper space and I wanted to think about that more. Now I've caught more things. Creative Time: 20mins, before work; 45mins, during lunch break Day 6: Note transfer jamboree. Creative Time: 50mins, during lunch break; 20mins, on train home Day 7: Not much today because my friends were visiting and everyone was camping out at out house. Creative Time: 30mins, super early. CONCEPT UPDATES/CHANGES: I didn't conceptually change much during this process but I did get a lot of the notes transferring. I think I can start the bigger outlining phase of this and hopefully actually get to the speed draft. I don't expect to have a fully flushed out script but I think having the complete speed draft by the end of this coming week is completely reasonable. PICTURES/NOTES: I'm trying to be better about including pictures. I always forget that I can just use my camera for pictures instead of an old school scanner and its fine for this purpose. THIS WEEK RUNNING TIME: 5.9 hours FINAL RUNNING TIME (SO FAR): 22.73 hours
