BttF: LE Continued
STATUS SO FAR:
Sunday/Day 1: Chipped away at re-familiarizing myself with what paths I wanted to explore. Whenever I have to large a gap between parts of a project I tend to come back needing to be refreshed. Its a waste and wouldn't be needed if I could avoid the gaps altogether. Creative Time: 30mins, super late
Monday/Day 2: Fill in the blanks. Thats's what a lot of this is. I'm taking scribbled concepts and flushing them out into the script speed draft format. I managed to get a whole 4 scenes today.
Creative Time: 30mins, before work; 45mins, during my lunch break; 30mins, after work
Tuesday/Day 3: Fill in the blanks. 3 scenes today. I have one scene I was debating what the best element would be and in the process I finally decided it was best to include it until I'm at a point where I will need to make a decision on whether or not to cut it out.
Creative Time: 30mins, before work; 45mins, during my lunch break; 30mins, after work
Wednesday/Day 4: Fill in the blanks. Lunch and Learn at work killed my lunch time. 2 scenes.
Creative Time: 30mins, before work; 30mins, after work
Thursday/Day 5: Fill in the blanks. 3 scenes. My after work time was consumed by story slams.
Creative Time: 30mins, before work; 45mins, during my lunch break
Friday/Day 6: Fill in the blanks. 3 scene. My after work time was consumed by story slams. I've found myself spending a lot of time on those so I'm try to be stricter about when in my day I'm working on certain things so that I use my time effectively and don't take too much time away from any one thing. This is all good and well until I have my daughter or son can't sleep or gets sick or an appt gets moved and then everything is out of whack.
Creative Time: 30mins, before work; 45mins, during my lunch break
Saturday/Day 7: I didn't manage much but a review and some editing of the scenes I laid out so far. I managed to create 15 scenes out of the 64 I was shooting for. That's about ¼ of the way. Its obvious at this point that more time is needed but I'm fed up with this project right now and need a break from torture and misery.
Creative Time: 30mins, super late
CONCEPT UPDATES/CHANGES: I finally translated all these ideas into scene but I would be able to really play with the story much until all of the scenes that I think are needed are down on paper or digital paper. I think a 2 more weeks at least would be needed at this slow roughly 7 hour per week rate of working. I'd need a week for flushing out that script and a week for editing. I may find a pilot competition I want to enter and set that as a deadline and then just work a lot of extra hours. That may be the only way to finish this before year 4 of this project is over.
PICTURES/NOTES: Maybe eventually I'll get back into the rhythm of taking and posting pictures but right now I've got too many things going on.
THIS WEEK RUNNING TIME: 8.0 hours
FINAL RUNNING TIME: 30.73 hours
