Why is it difficult for some people out there to ask directions? Is asking for help too big for their ego? Thanks to such an ego we ended up on this Catamaran from Mandhwa to Alibaug. After too many misleads and misdirections we just hopped onto a ship for Mumbai. The plan was to go swimming in the sea at Alibaug but we ended up having breakfast at Leopold Cafe, Colaba, Fort, Mumbai. Kuch toofani karte hai. Popti. Past few of my posts were all about Popti. Popti is a seasonal preparation which is popular in parts of Konkan where the beans grow in the months of February and March post rice harvest. This involves Spl. Specific beans, chicken/fish/eggs/veggies of your choice properly marinated and stuffed inside a earthen pot using wild bush that grow around the farm. There are so many aspects and techniques involved in the preparation of Popti. I'll try to cover those in coming posts. Rajiv has named this as a weekend food prowl club. Apt name i would say as you would see us three trying out new places across the town on weekends.
