Online identity - yay or nay?
The Internet provides us with the opportunity to be the brand ambassadors of our own personalities. I was born in the era where you are able to own a real life identity and an online one. Is the online identity worse than a real life one? As opposed to many “haters” who are fighting against the online identity, I genuinely think that Internet is allowing people to say what they are not able to say in the real life. Every Instagram user has a style and tries to send a message with each caption or picture posted. They spend their time to think about a nickname and a bio so their page looks perfect. Why does it have to be wrong if it is still created by us? Each online individual puts an effort and they treat their personality like a piece of art. The difference between these two personalities is that the online one will never die. There will always be a record of you for your great grand-children and for the history text books authors, who will write about YOU and the revolutionary apps, websites or business created by you.
P.S: Opposing those who say that people try to hide their flaws online, there is enough garbage in the real life, why ruin the online one?
