The clouds looked sleepy today

Like giant sheep

Taking naps in the sky

I wanted to nap too

But I had things to do

So I waved at the clouds instead

Maybe they waved back

It’s hard to tell

Because clouds don’t have hands

Every single day

A feeling of dismay

Trying to keep the storage

of courage high

... but how can I keep up my persistence

without your assistance?

A blazing fire,

trying to keep it alight

Don’t turn away, don’t delay!

And once you’ve finally

fought down the wall of fire

And once your eyes were flooded by tears

but dried by sunlight

And once you’ve felt the light

and darkness, too

Then you know what it means to be

a true human.
