SOUTH BY SO FUCKING WHAT OMFG Okay, so @MichelleIsRadd/@wefeelalive and I got to the venue and waited for about 15 minutes to get inside. Once we were inside, we were basically confused as to where everything was since we’ve never been to this venue before. So we just walked around and then I saw Zoe (@AvrilLavigne4L/@milkymermaids) & Emily (@woeisrupaul/@pastelponies) again! I gave Emily her gift and she handed me mine in exchange aw. After that, we decided to just go look around for people specifically band members lmao. I then saw Matty Perea and Éric Poncet walking around and called out to them for pictures. Matty told me he had a gift for me later at the merch tent and I became too excited lol. Eric told me he recognizes me and I cried internally. We took pics with them and then proceeded to walk around the venue. I suddenly saw Mathias Rigal and Jonathan Donnaes carrying some sound equipment. I walked up to them and practically embarrassed myself. Nonetheless, I asked for pictures of course. So far I met 3/5 of Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! I thought to myself- I needed to find Paul next. While continuously walking around the venue we literally kept bumping into most of Chunk, like I think we bumped into them 6 times in total lmao. Feeling quite satisfied atm I decided to see Issues first. Issues’s set was alright, they only played 3 songs tho which confused me. After Issues, we walked around again until WIM came out. We saw WIM and they played my favorite song off of Genesi[s]: I’ve Told You Once and Hance told everyone to crouch down for this song then jump back up. After WIM was Attila. Michelle decided to go see State Champs but I stayed for Attila and somehow got barricade for them lol. They played Rage first so that made me pumped up but they didn’t play Payback or Party With The Devil (idrk cuz I left midway during their set). I went to the stage State Champs were playing at and I came just in time for Handguns. Their set was pretty good; I saw Jonathan from Chunk watching their set omg. After Handguns, we walked around again and I saw Doriano Magliano from Woe, Is Me omg. I ran up to him and hugged him he’s so precious and we took a pic together. I also saw Fronz from Attila and I wanted to meet him as well. There was a line for his signing and to my disappointment pictures weren’t allowed apparently so all I did was hug Fronz :/. Still walking around we passed by Chunk’s merch tent once again. I saw Paul Wilson and I smiled too much then asked for a pic with him. Omfg when I met Paul he too recognized me because he literally asked me “Tk is that you?” I just….but ya I cried internally and had a nice convo with Paul hahaha. I also bought the “Make Them Believe” crewneck and when I was asking Éric to get it for me he was confused the whole time lmao it was hilarious. Confide was playing soon so we went to see them. They were pretty good but during their set Michelle saw Bert across from the stage we were at and I looked to see if it’s true. It was and I accidentally bumped into someone…so anyways we ran to where Chunk were at. They were backstage so we went up to the barricade to be in the front for Chunk. Chunk’s set was so good I almost cried omfg I was surrounded with a bunch of boring people cuz I was only at the side for barricade. Nonetheless I loved their set and they’re always amazing live. After Chunk, Bert announced they were doing a signing at 7:30 PM later so we decided to stay and watch Crown The Empire since we had time. CTE were so fucking amazing live aw they didn’t play Johnny Ringo but they played Children Of Love and The Fallout so it was ok. Their set almost made me lose my voice like real talk lmao. After CTE’s set, we walked around and saw Confide doing a signing. I met Joel Piper and he’s so nice aw, I also got a video for Sammie (@HelloSamaria/@seizurecitizen) and Joel asked me if Sammie was a girl or boy ahahahaha. I also met Emma (@EmmaSims4L) and to my surprise she was shorter than me ahh, but she was so cute omg. We walked back to Chunk’s and I saw Brandon (their driver). I talked with him for a while and then he said something that I will never forget. He asked me why I was so vulgar on twitter and sweet in real life and that made my day ahahahaha. We took a pic and I also gave Matty his drumsticks I promised him and in return I got Chunk’s edited setlist &) We waited for Chunk but the only members who kept coming over were Éric and Mathias then Brandon said their signing was somewhere to the left instead. We ran to the left and on the way we met Shayley Bourget of Dayshell omfg. HE’S SO PRECIOUS WE ASKED FOR PICS BUT HE SAID WE HAD TO HUG HIM FIRST. He picked us up one at a time and brought us into a hug I cried. We also met Case Snedecor of Issues and he’s so swaggie in person. We finally saw Chunk’s signing which took place under where we were so we ran and got in line. The whole time I was in line I was trying to avoid looking at Bert it was bad but ya. When I finally approached them I took out my setlist from Matty and some gifts for Chunk to hand to them. I got everyone to sign the setlist and then when I came up to Bert I tried hard to act casual…I gave him his gift and he told me he’d open it tonight so I just smiled then Bert turned to Paul and said, “Hey Paul, it’s Tk!” Paul nodded and said “I know!” I was in an emotional state atm omfg. Michelle recorded me meeting Chunk but she had to stop cuz I wanted a pic with Bert. I asked for a cuddling picture and he wrapped his arms around mine I just cried again ok. He wore that shirt I disliked but it’s ok because I love him regardless haha. After Chunk’s signing I was too happy to do anything ahh. We decided to sit down to eat and I saw Aj Rebollo from Issues walking up the stands. I screamed out Aj and took a pic with him heh. After we finished our food, I still wanted to meet Hance Alligood so we looked around for him. I saw Raul Martinez from Dayshell and met him too. I felt bad when he asked me how was their set because I couldn’t see Dayshell since they interfered with Chunk but he was so sweet. Well, Hance was literally nowhere in sight and my phone died on me so we decided to wait and see Jonny Craig’s set next. Jonny’s set was pretty good I saw Latrice (@_teapain) and Geneva (@anti_vist) at his set and it was great since they were the last people I had to meet. We talked a lot and I just rambled to them about meeting Chunk haha. After JCraig’s set was done I said goodbye to Latrice and Geneva then we went to see The Ready Set. We kinda missed a little of his set but it’s ok cuz he was great as usual. We were so tired after TRS, I decided to not see Breathe Carolina anymore because Michelle wanted to go home. So we waited for her dad to pick us up yep. We walked back to the front and I saw Chunk packing up. I went up to say bye to them and Éric grabbed me and hugged me and said, “It was nice to meet you, Tk! I hope we can see you again!” I just I didn’t know how to feel atm ok but I saw that Chunk ate all the Hello Panda cookies I gave them and pointed that out. They laughed and thanked me and we bid our goodbyes again. I can honestly say SBSW was one of the greatest shows I have ever been to. I’m so grateful to have met one of my all time favorite bands, some other amazing band members, and a lot of amazing people online. I’ll never forget this day; it replaced Warped Tour 2012 for me. I wish I could’ve met Hance still but it’s ok. If you actually read all of this, I love you a lot ok and thank you. :)
