SCRIPTURE:
Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found not good enough. ~ Daniel 5:27 (New Century Version) ▪️The Passion Translation: “Teqel: God has weighed you in the balance, and you have been found lacking. ▪️New American Standard: ‘Tekēl’—you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient. ▪️The Amplified Bible: ‘tekel’—you have been weighed on the scales [of righteousness] and found deficient; ▪️The Living Translation: Tekel means ‘weighed’—you have been weighed on the balances and have not measured up.
OBSERVATION:
Like King Belshazzar,I have been weighed on the scales and...
...not found good enough...
...found lacking...
...found deficient...
...not measured up...
Something I guess I've known and tried to fix on my own...
...repeatedly...
...with the expected results...
...but thankfully - Jesus!
APPLICATION:
Live thankfully for and confessionally - repentantly - in Jesus's balancing the scales...
...tipping them, even, in my favor...
...in such a way that others, too, will see and live gratefully in God's grace and mercy...
PRAYER:
Father God - Thank You for Jesus - for His making me worthy of Your presence - May I remember my work, on my own, is never enough, and that without Him in every part of my life I will be found lacking - In His Name - gratefully - and for Your glory and honor and praiseful worship...
For Him... for you... for yours...
