On the radio this commercial came on and it was started like, "picture yourself in front of the mirror naked. The first thing your eyes go to are those imperfections. Those little rolls and layers of fat you wish you could get rid of." I didn't care but then it went, "Well now you can!" And I flipped. I'm so fucking sick of the media making us feel like shit. Now it's not even a picture! Even the radio is pointing out physical flaws and what you "should" look like. I'm sick of this. You're all perfect ok! It doesn't matter your size or looks, we will still be friends. That's how it works. You're you and don't change anything about yourself. You're great.

I've decided to take on a self-acceptance challenge.

I will stand in front of my mirror completely naked.

Each day, starting from my toes all the way to my hair, I will thank a different body part, for what it does. And each day I will repeat what I have said the day before.

This is a step to recovery from feeling bad about myself. ♥
