What’s this? A contorted hazelnut tree that’s blooming in my neighborhood. (Photos by my son.) Weird and wonderful, yes?

A cool witchy tree I found on a hike- but I couldn’t make too big of a deal because I was with my hardcore Christian friend and I don’t think she’s aware that I’m a witch (even though it’s very obvious). So to avoid having to tell her all of that, I simply said “look at this weird tree, why is it shaped like that”.
