❝Well if it isn’t Weiss Schnee!❞ Akihiro stops his strolling upon seeing a familiar Blackwood student just stepping out of a store. Not to his surprise, she appears to be shopping alone. Based on what he’s heard from the other students, they don’t like her very much. Some have even gone as far as to call her “a stone-cold b-word” but the physician has only taken all that gossip with a grain of salt. ❝Are you with your friends?❞ He asks, hoping she actually is so as to disprove what the other students have said about her.

Akira almost works full-time at the Blackwood Grindhouse on his non-test weeks. Somehow, engineering majors tend to take their tests a little bit earlier than the rest of the other majors, which means Akira gets to work on the busiest weeks when everyone else scrambles for their morning espresso shots to prepare for tests or before cramming.

Amidst all the chaos, there was one student who seems to frequent the coffee shop regardless of test weeks or slower days. Her snow white hair and intimidating aura stood out; she was hard to miss. Usually she arrives by herself, but on very rare occasions, she’d bring a friend along. But there was one thing about her that never changes: her order.

She arrives a little bit after opening shop today. Almost reflexive, Akira turns to start the grinder to get her usual order ready, but somehow he felt a little bit adventurous today. He turns his heels and begins to walk towards her.

“Think you’d want to try something else today?” Akira pipes up casually. “If there’s nothing on the menu interests you, maybe I can get you a barista’s recommendation?”

Maintenance down at the pier was slower this time of year. Not that he did this more than part-time anyway, and mostly as a cover for just how he got the money he got. Regardless, that sometimes came with him having to cover for ride operators. His chin was on his hands as he pressed the green button, and then the red button - musing quietly about how he had often been told this job was just as difficult as his own.

The girl who approached - not unwillingly, but maybe sheepishly - the Ferris wheel - was recognizable.

An eyebrow quirked. Wasn’t she some sort of heiress? Rare to see here. Although students did frequent this spot, of course.

“Just one?” His voice was quiet, deep as he asked the question. He knew his daytime persona was quiet, withdrawn. He knew he was known for his grades in the engineering department, and he knew of this girl.

“Would you like your own? There’s not many people on today.”
