Ugh. This is why I never cook dinner.

Grace, you're a chef. Is this something that happens across the board with chefs because if that's the case then I can't live with you.

So I made my parents dinner tonight, and my dad is an ex-sushi chef. Apparently this title gives him the right to critique any dish I make, whether it is sushi or not.

Tonight I made a dish of mul naeng myun, and it clearly ain't sushi. I kept asking my dad while I was preparing the whole dinner if he wanted any. He said no and ate earlier in the evening because he said he was hungry right then and my mom was arriving later. So I made the meal for me and my mom, and my dad was there while we were eating (watching tv). He "tested" out my food from my mother's plate, and goes "if it had mustard seed, it'd be perfect" (mind you, he's never called any of my Asian cuisine cooking good. There's always a mystery ingredient that we never have that should have been in the dish to make it better). He decides it's decent enough, because even though I asked him earlier if he wanted some, and he refused, he decided to eat half of my mom's bowl and asked for more.

When I called him out on it, he got all offended, like I was the one who was acting crazy over the fact that I had to remake his dinner (along with seconds for my mom since she didn't get to eat all of hers). Then he proceeds to do what he always fucking does in the kitchen and take things over. I washed my dishes and got out of there because I was so pissed. And then, if that weren't enough, he decides to alter how I made the dish by adding one measly addition (some pre-packaged red pepper vinegar paste) and acts like he's the hottest shit for making it.

Also, I should add that my mom didn't like it because it was too spicy. And he acted like something was wrong with her for not liking it.

So yeah, fuck him.

And the world suddenly turns against me. Also known as: WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK.

So, all of the sudden my Macbook Pro's charger cord frayed and cut out. I have no way of charging/accessing my Mac until I get a replacement charger. Luckily I have my mom's laptop so hopefully I will be able to attend the TMI Prom tonight.

This also means stories will be on indefinite hiatus.

Replacement chargers cost $79.00 from the Apple store.
