on the off chance that @welcometohellfilm sees this, i'd like to say thank you for having a huge influence on my art style as a kid :,) the original welcome to hell short film changed my brain chemistry LOL
As you may know I’m going through with the idea of making a fan comic out of the story i’ve written in my head about the aftermath of my coma fic. and it’s associated fics. It’s hard to do this without a few spoilers but I won’t reveal EVERYTHING... That’s just poor storytelling...
But for those who are rigid bout not having the story spoiled I’m putting the information and progress under the cut.
General Information:
The comic will be called “Eulogies” and it will revolve around Jonathan trying to cope with the tragic loss of his fiancée, Sock.
For those who are triggered the main warnings are as follows:
major character death/suicide/vehicle accidents
mental illness
addiction
homophobia
cursing
probably others that I can’t think of too.
The host site will be tumblr.
The style of comic will be similar to Homestuck. There will be a 9x9 panel with narration and dialogue below it in the post caption.
However, the comic begins with a video. An “animation” of sorts (it’s jpeg files in iMovie with music and sound effects, not that special.) and there may be similar videos late in the comic.
The release date will HOPEFULLY be February 14th 2016 at the latest.
Production Progress:
As I said, The comic begins with a video and although it is not any where near as hard as animation it still takes a lot of time and patience, neither of which I have a lot of. As of now the first update is written and drawn, excluding the video. However, I need to finish that before I can release the first update. So wish me luck! If you want to check my blog there will be streams where I will reveal content before the release in the weeks leading up to it.
Art Quality Warnings:
This comic is being done pretty much completely digitally. I’ll have you know I SUCK AT DIGITAL ART. So PLEASE do NOT expect a Mona Lisa or really anything too good. Also, before I get called out on it a majority of my backgrounds are either traced or referenced FROM MY OWN PHOTOS and they are often HEAVILY MODIFIED so I’m not cheating that much. Also ALL PEOPLE ARE DRAWN WITHOUT TRACING.
