For the character opinion thing: Maglor

dfjkhdkjfhdk i was hoping someone would ask about Maglor because HOO BOY DO I HAVE OPINIONS..............

everyone but me is wrong about them: imagine me circling this so many fucking times you can't see text anymore. i feel this SO strongly,,,, every maglor characterization except mine is WRONG,,,

if they were real i would be afraid of them: i mean cmon this is obvious djfhdkjfh

they're deeper than they seem / not as deep as they seem: yes I selected both what of it. anyway basically i think that NO he is not a pathetic little meow meow but also he's not evil, people read so much into him that i don't think is really there, but also people ignore parts of his character that they shouldn't,,,

they got done DIRTY by fans: i have been very vague so far but maglor characterization where is he is wholesome and sad is cheap and uninteresting, but also i'm soooo not interested in maglor characterization where he's cold blooded and ruthless, like... he is a BAD LEADER. he's a good second in command. he can't stand up for himself. he twists the narrative around himself, but not always consciously, and not always in his own favor. he was a good father figure to elrond and elros. he was a bad father in general. HE IS SO COMPLICATED and ueurughgh this isn't even related to this specific square any longer

wow they are a horrible person: ALL FOUR KINSLAYINGS AND HES THE ONLY ONE WHO SURVIVES.

I actively dislike them sorry: i go insane sometimes about various maglor interpretations lmao. you know that post that's like "if you hate yourself take a shower, if you hate everyone else take a nap" or w/e? one of my gauges of "have i been on the internet too long" is "if you hate maglor get offline" djfhkfjhdkjfhdkjfh @ self brotherfucker maglor isn't real he can't hurt you

also, another controversial maglor opinion: he and maedhros are actually terrible to each other. they used to be close in valinor but after maedhros' captivity - really, after maglor helped burn the ships - he and maedhros never saw eye to eye again. and they never really talked about this either, which only made things worse. maglor was actually much closer to caranthir! but fate made him and maedhros the last remaining brothers and that was a Bad Time for them both. they were much happier when they had space from each other!!!
