Idk, maybe it’s because all my life whenever I told someone I was feeling sick they’d just accuse me of faking it. See, if you keep doing this to a child for long enough, this child might just grow up into an adult who at some point goes five weeks without eating a full meal, loses 10% of their body weight and is still wondering “What if I’m just faking it?” at the doctor’s office.

I mean. As I’m typing this, my parents still don’t understand why I cancelled that trip to Venlo that I’ve been looking forward to for months -- cause, you know, it can’t be that bad, right? I’m obviously just wallowing in self-pity again, because spending the day sick in bed is so much more enjoyable than a free vacation with your best friend.
