...Will Become Broken.
Continuation of What Seems To Break.
Despite your best efforts of trying to get lose, of trying to get the Monster to let you go on his own accord with any excuse you could find; He wouldn’t let his grip lessen at all.
He was also very large... Larger than you had first thought. By a glance, he looked to have been about 6 foot despite being on the ground and crouched into a tight ball. Now being in his arms, you were realizing how massive the creature actually was. He practically cradled you like some sort of child!
When he stood up fully, you felt almost sick by the height... You guessed he was possibly 8 foot or ranging up to 12? It was hard to think with such a nerve racking sight...
So to calm your raging fear, you had began to ask different questions... Who he was, what he was doing out so far from the Monster Square, perhaps if he had a home to go to?
He referred to himself as Mutt, but it was clear that name brought something as a bad memory as he squeezed you harder, the air in your lungs forced out before pounding on his chest. He apologized quickly, easing his grip on you enough to breathe, but nothing more. Mutt was apparently trapped in the Underground in a small cell of sorts, had just escaped from his captive which would explain his roughen look...
Felt horrible knowing he went through something so traumatic, but you had also gained information their world was harsh and unforgiving... He said he was lucky to be put into a cage instead of killed, but you still couldn’t wrap your mind around why.
When he said he was looking for a place to hide, that he felt weak and took a break for the time being to gain his energy back; That's when you had found him in his mini panic attack... Looked to have became calmer now since you had found him, to which you had to be glad about.
No telling what this Monster would do to you if he wasn’t calm, his thick chains saying he easily ripped them apart from wherever he escaped from...
“...found... a cave?” Mutt’s voice came, kicking you out of your mind. “should... b-be fine-... fer now...”
Fine for now? What on earth was he talking about?
“Mutt, I, uh-... We should head to the Monster Square, you know? It’s not very far from-... Well, where I found you...” You idly scratched your cheek, trying to look around the new area which you barely recalled exploring.
How fast was he moving that you didn’t realize he took you somewhere new!? Panic was beginning to settle in your stomach as you tried to think up of a new plan to escape...
“...n-...n-no, they-... they won’t help...” He said tiredly before entering the cave, your gut taking a plummet as your nerves began to fray...
Not only your nerves, but you were beginning to feel sick... Sicker than normal, your stomach was doing summersaults as you tried once again to squirm from his grasp.
But he kept you closer as he sat down within the safety of the cave, keeping you close to his chest. “...yer so warm... jus’ a break... ‘m sorri, s’not safe out there...”
“W-what do you mean it’s not safe out there?” You cursed yourself for stuttering, but the fact of the matter was your body was beginning to burn up.
Your mind was screaming at you to start running, to try your hardest to get out of his grips; But your body wasn’t cooperating... Felt as if your body was shaking, getting harder to breathe? It wasn’t as if he was squeezing you...
Perhaps the fear was taking over far too quickly for your body to comprehend...
“...m’capture s’out there... still lookin’ fer me...” Mutt explained, his metal mask coming and brushing against your forehead as you gave a shaky sigh at the coolness of it, almost helping you settle down. “s’... jus’ a q-quick break... find-... a s-safer one soon...”
“No One Is Safe When They Are With You...” A stern voice came, making Mutt jolt hard as his arms wrapped around you tightly to protect.
Your body was still not responding as you looked up to Mutt’s face, seeing the fear was clear in his sockets as his skull began to sweat under that hood of his. Following his line of sight, you were able to see another skeleton who now stood in the caves entrance.
This skeleton monster seemed to only have his right arm, his other was tied with his old sweaters sleeve at his elbow. The smell of copper and iron came strong as he walked closer to you both, his hand holding a small scythe of sorts. His eyes glowed a faint raspberry color, but they were filled with sorrow and grief.
Mutt was beginning to shake hard as you could hear his bones rattle.
Standing in front of you both, you could hear the other skeletons bones crack around the grip of his scythe. He looked down at you numbly, Mutts arms keeping you in tightly.
“n-no... no, no... t-they’re fine... fine, s-see?” Mutt tried, only looking down at you as your breathing was beginning to slow.
Apparently he and the other saw something you couldn’t feel as your eyes began to haze out to the two beings.
“...You Held Them For Far Too Long...” The other growled lowly.
“...t-they’re fine... promise, they are, m-m’Lord!” Mutts sockets cut right back to the other, but now you were having problems paying attention...
Whatever they were doing, whatever they were saying, couldn’t reach your ears now as it felt like you were slowly going under water. Your mind was beginning to fog, your body slowly losing more of its will to even twitch as it felt like fire was eating away at your muscles. Closed your eyes tight as the pain only got worse from there, as if your blood was boiling, burning your skin.
Your stomach felt like it was exploding, something feeling as if it was coming up your throat. How you wished you could feel if it was coming out of your mouth as the taste of acid hit your tongue, but you couldn’t move a single inch...
Suddenly your body tensed with a surging pain coming from your chest!
Mouth filled with blood, the copper taste coating what was once acidic. Your eyes flew open to see Mutt was no longer around you, but the other skeleton was staring down without an expression, red painted his face and...
His weapon was lodged into your chest.
With a last choke; Gurgling on your blood, the pain was slowly subsiding... Vision was hazing as you could slowly begin to breathe again... Easier, calmer...
It didn’t take you long to see in large, red letters;
GAME OVER.
