Current Projects (Listed From High Priority to Low Priority)
Tapetum Lucidum
Tapetum Lucidum takes place in the small coastal town of Providence, a popular area for tourists to go on vacation. It is an episodic series surrounding the odd, supernatural happenings of the town, with reoccurring characters that are both created by me and the players of the campaign I run that the show is based on (who are involved in the process and might see this post; hi guys I love you <3).
Janus
3 museum employees working the latest shift, often at odds with one another, find themselves having to get along when a weird door shows up in the middle of an exhibit.
On Hold Projects
Black Box
Anthology series following a cursed immortal going around and interacting with people in the period of time before their final moments and taking their stories. Not really kept to one genre, varies between supernatural, horror, realistic, etc.
Channel 16
4 strangers working at the fire watch towers over the summer at a park have to figure out the weird things going on while only being connected through a radio system and having to deal with also doing their jobs.
The Wellness Machine
Less of a series and more of a ‘verse consisting of 3 separate shows (so far). Takes place in a pre-, current, and post-apocalyptic period, with each show taking place at a different time. The Terrific Fairfield Hotel (a horror-lite show about a hotel for authors) is before, Dead District (about 3 people in the uneasy and awkward transition from pre-apocalyptic world to post-apocalyptic world) is during, and The Wellness Machine (6 strangers start a radio show while on a post-apocalyptic journey in their beat up truck and camper trailer across the country) is after.
Description A rag-tag group of people traveling cross-country in a rusty truck and beat up travel trailer in the middle of the apocalypse decide to start a radio show while they figure out how to stay alive. Takes place 3 years after The Terrific Fairfield Hotel.
Characters below the cut for convenience
Rory ‘Hiker’ O’Connor | He/Him | 26
Rory is the newest addition to the group after they crashed into his car on accident and he bothered them until they let him tag along. He’s the sort of guy obsessed with weird gadgets, the sort you’d see at As Seen On TV stores, and is rather cheerful even with the current circumstances...outwardly, at least. He’s glass-half-full in the forceful sort of way. He was the one to start the radio show and insist on going under fake names- or titles, more like -just because he thought it was cool and fun.
Adam ‘Radio Host’ Walsh | He/Him | 27
Adam, of course, is the person who owns the equipment that Hiker stole (’borrowed’) for the show. Obviously not a huge fan of it, and thinks the whole thing is rather stupid, though plays along anyway. This is partially because he can’t stand how unorganized Rory is with the whole thing, and ends up organizing everything and helping him run it ‘properly’. He hates actually talking on the show, though.
Gabriel ‘Vet’ Augustine | He/Him | 30
Gabe was picked up by the group around 4 months before Rory was, yet has already comfortably gotten himself the position of ‘unofficial dad’. This is possibly because all jokes he says are dad jokes and is usually the one checking in on people in the group and keeping the peace when things get heated. Considers himself ‘fun-loving’ but Rory and Dakota certainly don’t, since half of the time he is the one stopping them from scheming.
Dakota ‘Teen’ Gallen | She/Her | 16
Dakota has been with the group since the beginning, but instantly became Rory’s partner in crime as soon as he joined up with them. Though, surprisingly, he doesn’t let her get away with everything; she finds it hilarious when he stumbles over himself trying to tell her how uncool cursing and smoking are despite doing both himself. She’s a natural when it comes to technology, having had a (slightly illegal, considering her age) job at a tech store before the apocalypse started, and is the one that had helped Rory set everything up.
Mary Gallen | She/Her | 61
Mary is Dakota’s grandmother, and was the one looking after her when the apocalypse started. She’s a pretty stereotypical grandmother, all things considered; she likes sharing stories of her youth, cooking for the group, and giving advice. She also, however, sometimes likes to egg on ‘Kota and Rory when they’re planning something foolish but not entirely dangerous. She doesn’t have consequences for these actions because everyone loves her. She didn’t take up an alias because she accidentally revealed her name early on and figured it didn’t matter.
Pepper Radell | She/Her | 34
Pepper is the unofficial leader of the group. When it comes to making important choices, they mostly look to her for direction if they don’t know how to proceed. She seems rather serious, though its mostly because she’s either focusing on keeping them all alive or just doesn’t know how to relax after being on high alert all the time. She’s usually the one driving, despite an early agreement to take turns; this is partially due to the time Rory got distracted by something on the side of the road and almost drove the car off a bridge. Has an absurd amount of knowledge on survival skills from her father being obsessed with them in her youth, which has surprisingly led to her and Rory talking about different tips and tricks pretty often.
