Ariana Vs Taylor

yes it’s unfair Taylor has been dragged unnecessarily for writing about her feelings when it comes to love. But I mean, the undertone of thank u, next was more of a self discovery type of undertone. It wasn’t talking specifically about her exes, but her dealing with the repercussions of each relationship and picking herself up. It name drops, but it’s more about finding her own little niche. 

And I don’t think that deserves to receive such hate. 

The cheap songwriting, yeah maybe. 

The lack of creativity, and exploration of any particular feelings, yeah they are pretty basic, especially when there are artists like Taylor who respect their muse and keep things confidential, and yeah maybe the repetition of the chorus. 

But where the song was derived from was quite innocent, and was in all honestly necessary considering a lot of what she has been through.

Not all songwriters are as amazing as Taylor Swift, and yes, I believe that its unfair that that ability of hers gets pushed under the rug, but it shouldn’t devalue the fact that Ariana went through some stuff, even if it was poorly expressed...
