So I'm doing undergrad in the US and I know it's a different system in Spain, but can you tell me a bit (or a lot) about your law school experience and why you chose it? I'm having a tough time deciding between law and medical research
This is so so late and I’m so so sorry. Ok, so Law School:
Law School it’s a bit overwhelming at first because you have so many classes about things you had never seen before. (Like in physics, maths etc you had something related in high school)
LISTEN TO YOUR TEACHER THE FIRST DAY. They’ll tell you if they want you to study based in class notes, by a certain manual, by the law... listen to them. The recommended method is usually the easier one.
Don’t stop going to a class because it’s boring. If you try to just take the law and study without a proper explanation it’s going to be 50 times harder. Go to your boring classes (unless they just like read the book)
It will seem like most of your classmates know exactly what they want to do and where they want to do it. They probably do. NETWORK hard. Being cordial with your classmates can grant you a job, a agreement on a future case... and more impotant THEIR CLASS NOTES.
Work daily. You’re going to absorb a lot of new info and I know a lot of people say law school is just memorizing stuff but that’s the biggest lie ever, you gotta know why and how to apply/solve stuff. If you work on your notes daily you’ll solve doubts, build a good foundation and not die when finals arrive.
