Jargon, J-Reyez, Southstar – “Shut it Down” – This is what I call “hip-pop” – the kind of hip hop/rap that can and should be heard on the radio. Song production is tight, the video is simple but well-produced and crazy-patriotic, if you’re from the T-dot. The hook stuck with me and stayed in my head well after the track was done. As I said before, the track could be “radio-friendly” if the mother-*f*cking” language wasn’t so bad. Too much unnecessary swearing  – if Jargon wants the “paper”, then he needs to stop making “paper-less” tracks. Write a clean-er version and this will get major play.  Final bite: great song, good video – I’m going to tweet this “sh*t”.
