@pettythieveswithpotential liked for a holiday starter
Christmas had always been her favorite. Truthfully, August had loved it because of her and the loss of their daughter had tainted the entire holiday season for him. But Milay had wanted lights and decorations and it was hard to tell her no. But god, it was hard. His fingers shook when they lifted a delicate stained glass star from one of the boxes, the light bouncing off of it cheerfully. She had painted it the year before they had lost her.
“Do you think it’ll ever feel easier?” he asked, not expecting an answer or any comfort. He just couldn’t stand the silence that filled the room.
