In the middle of the pandemic, artists Kay Ho and Will Sii from Malaysia sent me this Petronas Towers PostCare post card—July 20, 2020, the note said. It was only in March 2021 when it arrived at my doorstep. But it doesn’t really matter that the post card’s journey from KL to Manila took 8 months. What’s important is the precious and pure human connection in these uncertain times. So, I thank you Kay for this. 💕 Will and Kay started PostCare in 2016 as a pop-up concept store that encourages people to reach out to others the old fashion way—yep, through postcards designed by artists they’ve collabed with in the Malaysian creative community. I first came across Will’s art on hand-drawn notebooks I bought at Mori Zaka at Sunway Mall in KL in 2014. After Kay and I got connected on Instagram, she and @Iwillstudio have thoughtfully sent me precious post cards and ang paos for Chinese New Year. This is my eight-months delayed thank you, Kay and Will! Sending my love from Manila! 🇵🇭 🇲🇾💕 #wepostwecare #postcaremalaysia https://www.instagram.com/p/CNPknkmHp5r/?igshid=1ej6d444eeguc
