Is it possible to make an "original character" based off a comic book character. I wanted my character to have the talents and career of a comic character that I really like, but not their personality or background. In that comic character's world, there are many like him as well. Do you think I could pull that off? I can give a more vivid explanation of what I mean if needed. Hope to hear back but take your time with this, your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Hi! Sorry for the delay. Do you mean their powers and what they do as a living? I think it’s okay to take inspiration off your favorite characters. We all get our creativity somewhere. But I think that it’s a key thing to note their distinctions and perhaps list the character as an inspiration. I’ve reblogged a good post about noting distinctions that might hep you.
