Thinking what the story for a werewolf!Duke au would be is something along the lines of Duke gets bit by a transformed werewolf (maybe it’s the homeless man for sillies).
He’s got a bandage over it for a while (likely up until the next full moon or something), slowly becoming more and more of an insomniac and tired. He visits Miss Holloway, she very quickly is concerned about the big ass bite on his arm that doesn’t look very healed and he’s all “No no! Darlin’ it’s fine! Don’t worry about it ahaha!” (He’s lying).
Time passes and the next full moon rolls around. Duke goes through his transformation and is very confused (think how Merida’s mom in the movie Brave reacts and acts like a bear but Duke is a giant ass wolf man) and like sneaks to Miss Retro’s in the dark. Holloway sees him, appropriately freaks out and goes “wtf?? Duke?????” and he’s all “!!!” (What is happening help me??) and she’s on like a mini quest to turn him back into a human man again before he goes completely feral (again like in Brave but instead 2 sunsets to reverse it she’s got till the full moon is over until he becomes a vicious and flesh hungry beast :D) while also maybe keeping him/herself out of the hands of the hatchet men for an extra stake :)
I can see werewolf Duke lashing out and killing some of the hatchet men in blind animal rage to protect Holloway and she has to wrangle him around to not get either of them killed
If anyone has ideas please please please tell me!
