Hello everyone! So, as you may know I have always been a big fan of character design! Seeing the creativity of other people manifested through original characters and AUs is really inspiring! So for my contest, I would like you to create a character based on sea creature that isn’t a basic squid or octopus! (Squid/Octo with unique traits are ok! Ei. Vampire squid) I want those who participate to have an interesting OC to work with once the contest is over! I will be judging on craftsmanship, but most importantly, creativity! If you already have an OC that is off from the norm, feel free to draw them! I’m not trying to get anything out of this, after all, I’m celebrating all of you! Thanks for reading, following, and supporting me! Good luck and be creative!!!

my entry for @werlvjs‘s splatoon oc design contest!! her name is peggie and she’s a hermit crab-ling…?

i admit to taking a lot of elements from different types of crabs, like the uneven claw lengths in her hair are based off of fiddler crabs rather than hermit crabs, but i like to think it’s really just a hairstyle and her true Crab Form reflects her hermit crab anatomy a little more accurately…

she’s very fascinated with turf wars, but crabs don’t dissolve in ink, so unfortunately all she can do is watch from the sidelines and tinker with weapons :(

@werlvjs 1k contest starring toothpaste hair boi! Based on the Glaucus atlanticus, a blue sea slug. I'm not too good at character designs but I hope this is okay!

For my @werlvjs 1k follower contest entry, I present to you Sebaysha! She’s a coelacanth from the deep Indian Ocean with a little too much time on her hands! 

As an experienced trans woman, she has the confidence to explore her interests and present herself confidently.

In her spare time, she does a great deal of archaeology, particularly learning from the primary resources as she practices necromancy.

"I've heard that humans weren't sure of what life exists in the seas... Even though we're so easily-forgotten, I'm still not sure of who else there is, but I'd love to find out!"

She’s set to interact with my L&L (Lagoons & Leviathans) group, the Gillded Four, as a special foil. I’m so excited to show more of her soon!
