On May 16, 2016, the world lost a treasure, a man larger than life itself — my uncle, Herman Roache, at the grand old age of 101 years 9 months 10 days.
Born on August 6, 1914, near the end of West Head (Lockeport), Herman Ellsworth Roache was the second child and son of Leonard and Ada Townsend Roache.

On one of the first cold days of 2016, our heat pump gave up the ghost. BOO! The motor in the outside unit stopped working. THAT FIGURES!
