Your colors entice me as I stand in wide-eyed amazement I can have that youthful excitement as my feet move a carpet a fallen leaves That cool mountain breeze that comes from afar and through the trees It is a nectar of memories that a snapshot can only hope to capture I look forward to seeing you once again when summer departs. Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one afternoon in Hot Springs National Park while walking the Sunset Trail. This was on the backside of West Mountain, so the sunlight wasn't as direct and strong and allowed for reflected, filtered colors to come through in the forest around me. I wasn't interested in trying to capture the full breath and depth of the forest around me, so I pushed forward on the focal length a little in order to capture this one section and trail to my front. As there were no bright skies present and the sunlight was filtered through the tree leaves, I just found a section of tree leaves that seem to be right to meter with my Nikon SLR camera. I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation while playing around as I learned how to work with DxO PhotoLab 3.
