Did you see JIAHOU LIAO today? I hear he’s only TWENTY TWO and in their FOURTH YEAR at the school. Some say they can be quite AMBITIOUS and DISCIPLINED but are also known to be RECKLESS and CHILDISH. He told me they are majoring in MUSIC and emphasizing in BASS GUITAR/MUSIC PERFORMANCE. I’ve always thought he looked a lot like KRIS WU. 

          hey y’all !!!! sorry this is like, a billion years late. tori is the best admin and graduations really do make an individual lose their mind (even if its not their own). but !! i am atlas/danie, i’m about to turn 19, i use they/them pronouns, and i’m in the est timezone !!!! im a sophomore in college, unlike this dickbag right here whos a senior. at the mention of douches (who are actually really sweet), this is jiahou (thats his given name) !!!

jiahou was born and raised in china -- beijing to be exact. he had two loving parents, and was the middle child of three kids. his older sister is doing her residency for medical school, and is planning on becoming a pediatric surgeon. his younger sister designed and developed her own app when she was still in high school, and now is the ceo of the budding company. 

so it’s nice to say that his parent’s, weren’t the biggest fan when he decided to go to ~music school~

but we gotta back up a while, to see how he got here

jiahou, in middle school, wanted to do something to prove to his parents that he wasnt just the middle child, that he could be successful too

so he applied for a study abroad program when he was thirteen, and got accepted.

and thats how jiahou found himself in the middle of nowhere in georgia, which is where he went to school for the year. he really enjoyed america, even if he was kind of in the boonies, so he kept applying to stay in the country to continue his education there

it was around this time that he discovered his passion for music, and applied to go to westbrook for shits and giggles. when he got in, he was ecstatic, but his parents were not

jiahou is kind of estranged from his family, especially his father, who sees his only son as a failure. add the fact that jiahou identifies as gay, he can’t recount the last time he’s had a conversation with him that was longer than a few words.

it was at his first year at westbrook, a kinda shy kid who only knew the basics of playing bass, that he met who is now his best friend

him and gemma have kind of be inseparable since they met, and formed a (then two person) band towards the end of their first year at westbrook

now, three/four (math isnt real) years later, jiahou is the bassist of a pretty popular band with gemma, and the rest of his bandmates (who i would love to either plot with people who’d be interested being in it, or would wanna apply for the connection uwu)

he’s come out of his shell a lot since he was just a shy kid in middle school, and is a lot more reckless. middle school jiahou was quiet, disciplined and followed every single rule that crossed his path. he was terrified of being kicked out of the country, and even more scared of being kicked out of his family for failing

but now that he’s pretty secure in his education, has accepted his relationship with his father, and found someone who he truly vibes with, jiahou’s become a lot more loose

he’s childish, and kind of reckless. but, he still has that discipline that was ingrained in him all of those years ago, so a combination of all of those traits manifests as eight hour practice sessions where he practices singing tik tok’s, and shit like that. 

jiahou searches for entertainment wherever he goes, which is how the band has kind of ended up with a million names (including but not limited to: so i heard you’re gay, donald trumps cheeto dick, panic! at the disco but not white, and their current and longest running band name: ibd, or invisible band dick)

Did you see MILES “MJ” MORETTI today? I hear he’s only TWENTY and in their FIRST YEAR at the school. Some say they can be quite RELAXED AND LOYAL but are also known to be BLUNT AND NARROW-MINDED. HE told me they are majoring in WRITING and emphasizing in HORROR FICTION. I’ve always thought he looked a lot like ASH STYMEST.

Alright this is MJ and I love him with all of my heart.

Okay so basically, MJ grew up in a very difficult household

TRIGGER WARNING- I WILL MARK WHEN DONE

MJ’s mother was very into drugs, anything she could get her hands on, and she was cheating on his dad but he didn’t know any of this until she walked out when he was five.

TRIGGER WARNING OVER

He took her leaving really hard and closed himself off a lot. The only people he would be open to was his family, and even then he usually didn’t tell them everything he was feeling.

He tried to help as much as he could around the house, seeing as it was just him, his sister and his dad.

He knew that his dad took things hard and so did his sister and as much as he wanted to protect them, MJ had a lot of internal emotions he never really dealt with inside.

So he decided to pour all of his dark thoughts into writing. He twisted things so they were creepier and more fictional but everything he was writing was some part of the emotions he was feeling.

He’s entered a bunch of writing contests and gotten placed in them for his writing, wanting to validate himself. He also draws everything for his stories but he wanted to focus more on the writing aspect here at Westbrook.

It all came crashing down when his sister left for Westbrook. For years he had just been shoving all his emotions inside of him and inside his stories but he wasn’t dealing with anything.

TRIGGER WARNING STARTS HERE

When Bille-jo left, MJ couldn’t handle it. It felt like another person leaving and while he knew he could still see her and talk to her, it was like everything that he’d been holding back exploded.

MJ started partying hard. He liked the rush and the environment that being in these parties gave him. Parties were like his escape from the world, he didn’t have to think while he was there.

One day someone offered him to experiment with drugs and while internally he knew he shouldn’t, he just wanted to be numb for a little.

That was the start of a long run with them and he would always sneak out of the house to go to these parties, not telling his dad or his sister what he was getting himself into.

Eventually his dad caught him and he said that he either had to go to westbrook and be with his sister and stop what he was doing or go to rehab.

He still struggles with the want to do drugs but he’s been smoking and that’s helped for now.

He chose westbrook, which his dad was glad about since he could reconnect with his writing.

He still hasn’t told Billie-jo anything and doesn’t plan on, not knowing if their dad had said anything, but he is excited to surprise his sister and be around her again.

MJ is hella blunt about everything. He pretty much hates everyone that isn’t family and will tell you exactly what he’s thinking at all times.

He doesn’t really believe in love, seeing what his mom did to his dad, but he’s open to it if the right person came along.

MJ still pushes all of his emotions inside of him and in his writing and it would take a really special person to open him up.

Did you see VIOLET VANCE today? I hear she’s only TWENTY FIVE and have been at the school for TWO years. Some say they can be quite CUNNING AND WARM but are also known to be ANNOYING AND SNARKY. She told me they are a LIBRARIAN and specialize in RESTORATION. I’ve always thought she looked a lot like MARGOT ROBBIE.

she is the sound of footsteps on the old marble floors, the echos bouncing off the stone walls.  the smell of books, hands covered in ink, she will stain you with her presence, joyous and unforgettable. she is the fall breeze cascading through the trees. she is a fire, stand in awe of her warmth and hearth. shadows always linger but never worry you are protected by something ancient within her

Grew up on the poor side, it’s why she was always at the library. 

her mother would drop her off, use the heat and air conditioning but violet never minded their was always something to find in the library

has two older brothers and a twin brother, everyone is usually flabbergasted when they find out she has twin.

her mother was an angel, an absolute angel, she raised three boys and one girl all on her own. their father was around but he was a deadbeat more then anything. she died when the kids were in their teens. their father never recovered

violet has always been very pretty. the kind of pretty people think is dumb. it was always annoying to her. but learned to use that pretty to get what she wanted. you thought she was dumb well she’ll play dumb, get what she wants and surprise you last second.

was hired immediately after graduation to work in the library at Westbrook. Her specialty lies in antique restoration. she typically takes older books and restores them, as well as paintings and artifacts. but her bachelors is in library sciences.

Did you see DEIRDRE SOLIDERADE today? I hear she’s only TWENTY and in their SECOND YEAR at the school. Some say they can be quite STRONG WILLED AND STEADFAST but are also known to be REBELLIOUS AND AWKWARD. She told me they are majoring in DANCE and emphasizing in BALLET. I’ve always thought she looked a lot like SAOIRSE RONAN.

she is the stage lights on a dark stage, the twilight hour, hues of purple and blue and red. she dances like the whole world is watching, captivating. her spell draws you closer and closer. she’s smiling, the stage magic, the rush of performance, the anticipation of the curtain rising. she is the moment before the music starts, a breath and begin.

Meet Deirdre, 20, ballerina wild af

She’s is one of four soloist at in the ballet program. What that means is, she is below the principal dancers with three other girls. She is trying to be a principal. (she wants to be the sugar plum fairy, the most famous part in ballet)

Been dancing since was born. but started dance at 3

cracks and creaks and has bruises and blisters and will probably dance anywhere. have you ever met dancers, they don’t stop. like legit does leg holds in the grocery store

every dancer has a way to break in their pointe shoes. if you ever see her banging her shoes against a brick wall that’s what she’s doing

has a dancer partner who she adores working with, been with him since they started

is on the shorter side for a ballerina

eats like nobodies business. she’s dancing at least 10 hours a day so she is constantly eating can be super cranky just before peak performance season, mostly because she’s cutting her intake and she hates it

While she’s a traditional ballet dancer, she’s also a little bit of a punk and does alternative forms of ballet

During the off season she dyes her hair.  She’d have tattoos but the Academy won’t let her.

Her parents let her leave traditional school at school to dance.

Her parents are the typical stage parents. Her mom is a florist and her father is a university professor(at a different school) and they would do anything to make her dreams come true

Can’t get caught partying. Lowkey parties, doesn’t get hangovers and can be on stage for a matinee with no problem

She’s a little bit of a rebel but while she loves traditional dance she loves the idea of modernizing and letting the unconventional ballerina’s thrive.

She’s not allowed to be in relationships. So that mean’s she’s probably in one. A SECRET
