Take a look at our latest project and be a part of it! Western Heroes of Pulp Fiction: Dime Novel to Pop Culture Organized by the Tucson Museum of Art October 24, 2015 – February 14, 2016 The Old West will meet the New West on October 24, 2015 in an art exhibition so wild and exploding with rawhide, smoking Colt 45s, and desert heat, that it took the Tucson Museum of Art to rein it in. For the first time ever, Wild West artwork from comic books, pulp fiction novels, dime novels, and magazine and book illustrations will have its own exhibition, curated by the Tucson Museum of Art Glasser Curator of Art of the American West, Christine Brindza. Western Heroes of Pulp Fiction: Dime Novel to Pop Culture will provide a survey of works from 1920 to Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Bill Schenck, exploring how images of the Wild West have built and reinforced American legends. And here is the best part—you can make a lasting impact on this historic exhibition by helping us get the catalog published! One of the most important and lasting components of any great exhibit is its catalog, so saddle up with us on our Indiegogo campaign, and take a look at the awesome rewards for donating to the publishing costs of the catalog—you might even get your name in the book!
