The Iron Lung movie ending got me crying and here's why

HUGE SPOILERS TO IRON LUNG MOVIE AND MARBLE HORNETS' ROSSWOOD SERIES.

Yes, both of them.

Unless you don't care for spoilers, continue on. Update: I added some more details and evidence.

So I noticed something on my first watch of Iron Lung and it got me thinking about Rosswood from Marble Hornets. and it got me sad.

Then I watched Iron Lung the 2nd time and noticed more details I previously missed. And both times, my sister watched with me. (and she also shared her thoughts and observations.) Then I thought about Rosswood and got more sad.

Ok so.... that scene of Simon hearing a voice in his head? He thought it was someone from the SM-8 sub? Later on, he opens an audio log from that sub and listens. It's the same voice and using the same words.

Then the ending. That big creature spoke to Simon. In the same voices as the SM-8 crew. THat's when we viewers realized that the creature is sentient and intelligent.

What If that hallucination was actually real? then what if Simon actually spoke to the creature? then it was pretending to be the SM-8 crew.

THAT reminded me of Marble Hornets Rosswood. limited series. released in August. spin-off alternate timeline of Marble Hornets. That series revealed new lore to The Operator: it can mimic voices. But remember. The specific words that the Operator used were "Jay, where are you? help me" in Alex's voice. Words we wouldn't hear again until Alex's death scene. In like... 2 episodes later. Alex was screaming for Jay and the Operator would later mimic his last words to trick Jay few days prior. (Insert time travel plot explanation.)

Back to Iron Lung. that creature might have used the voices of the SM-8 crew to speak to Simon. When it first spoke to Simon, it called out to Ava first. Simon didn't learn Ava's name yet.

But remember that movie ending. After it kills Ava, it starts to speak in her voice. And AFTER Simon says "Fuck you", the creature shouts the same words in the same voice. (Thank you sister for pointing out the Simon's "Fuck you" moment.)

Think about all the people sent down before Simon. Listen to all the layered voices the creature used at that ending. It spoke in many many voices. Could they be the voices of all the dead ? All those who died before Simon's expedition?

This creature is like The Operator from Rosswood.

It will speak in the voices of every human it encounters. Alive and dead. BUt more likely to use their voices after they die.

I don't know much about Welcome Home, maybe the general gist of it, but I thtink the song "H. H. Holmes (Gluttony)" by American Murder Song might make a good fan animatic/ animation project.

I think my love for Slenderverse and Marble Hornets and creepypasta helped me with enjoying slow burn psychological horror/ thriller. So, I watched Iron Lung and knew and understood the unknown.

I love that trope of “the unknown is scarier than the actual horror/monster/jumpscare”. It the unsettling and unnerving feeling. I can’t put it into words.

If those people who said this movie is boring or too slow can’t understand that, then watch something else.

Remember the bi-regeneration scene from The Giggle, Doctor Who.

So.. obviously, David Tennant is too much of a slut to risk having him walk around in a waistcoat and no shirt. They had to give him a long sleeve undershirt.

But this also means that 14th wore his trousers commando. 15th took the underwear.

If Jacksepticeye was part of qsmp, if he had accepted and stayed for the qsmp launch, IF HE WAS A MEMBER SINCE DAY 1.....

we wouldn't be ready for his interaction with Acau and Chunsik. Even if some of us already knew of his basic Korean skills, we still wouldn't be ready.

I’m disappointed in how many Disney Tokyo Villain Recruiters fanfics are on AO3. I’m more disappointed in how many of them feature the lady recruiters as the main characters of the fanfics.

and there’s not a lot featuring silly shenanigans or fluffs or related. I want a silly drabble of Mr. Dalmatia holding dog toys and a leash, bugging everyone, “I’m ready. Can someone PLEASE play with me or walk me!?”
