Hi

I really should make a post of all my fandoms. And also introduce myself. I just jumped straight into Tumblr for the sake of getting my thoughts onto somewhere, and project my fandoms ramblings. Hi, I'm Westley, or Caffeine. I have bunch of different nicknames, depending on the social media and friend group. I'm not sharing my government name here.

I’m an adult. Age: 18+

Pronouns: All. I use she/they most of the time. but experimenting with the other pronouns.

I won't deny. I am a woman. But Am I cis? idk, i spend more time thinking about my fanfics and OCs than i do thinking about my gender. Asexual and American, Vietnamese-descent. Heritage speaker in Vietnamese. LGBTQIA+ friendly blog.

I sometimes draw. i sometimes write stories and poetry. my poetry are more likely to be original. they're free-form.

I like lots of things. I like rock music. I consider myself emo, punk, and baby metalhead. and maybe baby bat too?? (or i'm more mall goth as some people call it). I also like Eurovision and 70's disco. I don't like disco pop or whatever Dua Lipa's genre is.

I like horror. I will be macabre. If you are a minor, you are warned. If you don’t like horror or macabre or related, I will place warnings. If I forget a warning, tell me.

Headcanons for the RotG \ GoC world-building

As it said on the tin, this is my big list of headcanons for the world-building to Rise of the Guardians and Guardians of Childhood, but mostly the movie since I'm currently on the 3rd book. I'll add more later.

There is a Jack-o'-Lantern and I can't figure out if his name is Shane or Séan, but his surname will be O'Leary. See if you can figure out the pun there. Halloween spirit, but not a guardian.

O'Leary is undead like Jack Frost, but look, I'm not going to confirm the existence of St. Peter or the Devil in the world of RotG. Just know that he died and can't go anywhere, so he's stuck here.

due to that, has a strong rivalry with Death like Bunny with North

carries around a lit carved pumpkin or yellow turnip. sometimes switched out to other vegetables like the beetroot for a sick red glow!

I should clarify that the vegetable is called "turnip" in Ireland, but a "turnip" in North America is the white turnip. Rutabaga for North Americans, neeps for Scots, Swedes for Britons. He enjoys the confusion it caused.

has a truce with Death for the end of October-beginning of November since death holidays overlap with the modernized candy-filled celebration

Death is genderless, takes on the appearance of anybody or anything you find comforting, and uses all pronouns.

I don't want to give a name, because it feels wrong to give a fantasy name to actual Death??????

Death swears by neutrality because ahem, death doesn't discriminate between the sinners and saints.

when you think about it, Death should not be a Guardian of childhood because it's usually older people who die, but ... children do get to see Death

it took some time, but Death finally relented, but on her own terms. Death will be a Guardian of Growing Up, neither childhood or adulthood. His center is Peace.

North keeps meeting Death. Death keeps meeting North. "We keep meeting." Death kept a tally.

Death was there for Jack and Sandy. Pitch saw Death after he killed Sandy and got real smug about it.

She released Sandy with grace, but stuck around for the final fight. Then realized "my spidey senses are tingling" = Pitch was going to die from his nightmares.

Well,,,, we can't confirm if Pitch did die there. Death won't tell.

He actually took a vow of "don't tell anybody who died," because people get upset and will grab their pitchforks.

This is so validating because the respondents in this paper are saying some of the same things I've been feeling and thinking for years.

I'm asexual. I figured that out not long after I first came across the term in high school. But figuring out my gender took a lot longer. I didn't really think about my gender identity for years, it wasn't until I was in college that I started trying to figure out what my gender was. That process took years.

I didn't really feel attached to my assigned gender, but I also didn't feel the gender dysphoria that trans people described. I didn't particularly feel like I was neither of those either. For a long time, I honestly didn't feel like any of the gender descriptions and identities I was coming across really fit. I just didn't care that much about what my actual gender was. Eventually I decided upon the agender label as that seemed the most apt. As the paper says, it's really hard to be truly without gender in this highly gendered world. Agender is a way of defining myself in a way that people who experience gender might be able to understand when "I'm just me." isn't really an acceptable answer to the "what's your gender?" question.

I don't mind being perceived as a gender, none of them are offensive to me. While I do like when I am perceived as male or at least not female, I think that more has to do with growing up female and not wanting to be pushed into traditional female roles and values than a connection or repulsion to any gender. I'm impossible to misgender because I frankly don't care.

Honestly, the biggest problem I have with my gender, is trying to define it to people. There's been a large push in recent years for asking people for their pronouns, or including pronouns in things like email signatures and surveys. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is a bad thing! This is very affirming for a lot of people. But it feels like I need to pick something that doesn't quite fit. At pride, for instance, there's always pronoun buttons. But they're all she/her, he/him, they/them, she/they, he/they, it/it, xe/xir, etc etc. And that's great. I'm always glad that there are a lot of options for people. But there's never any pins for any/all pronouns. I've never picked up a free pronoun pin at pride, despite always looking, because they all feel like picking what pronouns I don't want poeple to use and the answer is that I don't care. I fround an any/all pronoun pin once at a queer museum and I cried.

I really suggest you read the paper if you haven't. Not just the article, the whole paper. This is probably the most seen I've felt in a long time.

I will always say "I'm a woman," and I'm proud of that. But many times, I just don't care. I don't want a label. I just feel... floating in the void.
