César Chávez Day: A Day Not to Celebrate The amount of collective delusion with César Chávez went to an extreme level this year with the release of his biopic this past Friday, which makes the information and commentary shared by Pakal Hatuey in this video especially refreshing. Yes, César Chávez was human and made mistakes, but he’s never been held accountable for them. As a community, we have yet to have an honest discussion about the many transgressions committed by him and his organization, the United Farm Workers, against Mexican migrants.
