week of using my eyes and ears
just doing some studying. gonna look through the real book and pick out some standards to learn. just keep on moving
trying to figure out the krita animation workspace. going to do something short. i could have used grease pencil but i wanted to try something new

mudbray is a very good pokemon
playing: kirby planet robobot. i love the mecha kirby forms
week of paint
been thinking of things in a bit of a chunkier way as of late. big shapes, making decisive marks (or trying). which has kind of pushed me towards gouache a bit. i still enjoy transparent media but it’s been easier to go back and change things or bring back highlights if i mess up. things along those lines. it feels like needed something supplemental for watercolor painting just because i’ve been having trouble getting my tones right consistently. gouache kind of helps with that i feel when i want do kind of sculpt and not sit down with so much planning. want to keep focusing on big picture and then working inward.
reading: took a peek at chainsaw man vol. 1
watching: more nana
playing: trying to make progress in elden ring
a solid week
listening to music and looking at things :)
trying to get the pencils to work for me. it’s got me thinking about tones and the amount of time i spend shading means i can see things come together slowly
watching: i finished [given] which goes after my soft spot for brackets. lots of care for the music in-universe
