It's not a recent ask. Lmao. But I hope not. One of them can't carry it. And the other should have supernatural stuff to worry about. Kinda uninterested in the romance bits (of anyone) tbh.

Both Mileven and Byler are toxic. but Bylers cant accept that and worst thing is when anyone tries to point it out they get upset.
Bylers created this fanon Mike in their heads and try to pass it as canon. no he is not suicidal. he does not have secret letters he wrote for Will. he was not calling Will every day every night. nobody was making homophobic remarks aimed at Mike. nobody forced Mike to be with El he chose that. he keeps picking El over Will each time. he focuses on him when El is not there to make out with.
the shippers are still stuck in season 2 basically. and they cannot move on. as deep down they see how not only Mike as a character has regressed since season 3, but also Will and Byler - they just repress it, harder than Mike represses his sexuality.
Bylers its toxic just admit it. Will is spineless - a doormat that lets Mike walk all over him. he thinks he is a mistake and Mike is the only one he can depend on to make him feel better about himself. Mike proceeds to treat him like garbage and Will gets mad for few seconds then forgives him. is that healthy to you?
Mike and El will not have a wholesome mutual breakup where they hug and settle on being friends yada yada yada this isnt a fanfic. there is no Elmike friendship in canon. yall just made that up, as you tend to do to make Mike look better.
i absolutely get that, though. Mike now lost all his personality, it’s just El El El El El El El El to the point you forget he has other character traits which get overshadowed by him being El’s boyfriend, loving El, focusing on El, talking about El, worrying about El, being mean which is caused by his obsession with El.
you guys have this pathetic belief in Duffers’ amazing writing skills and that they are those geniuses that will make satisfying deep arcs for all characters you like. well take off your shipper goggles and look at just how many characters and plotlines they screwed up already.

S4 shows how weak the writing for the romances is. All the canon couples fit into the roles of character x character’s gf/bf, and it irritates me.

Re hopper n Joyce. It's 2 wrongs won't make a right. A realistic show would show both of them at least slightly interested in raising their kids. Atp they're just treating them like succulents and trynna keep them alive.

in the years following st5... if Will is handled at least semi decently by the creators, he'll stay a loved character. in fact, anon should be more worried about Will's story being disliked due to dumbass writing in the finale, not any dumbass actor 🥱
