Okay but imagine what if that was literal, we get to Tau and find out Adis has just kinda been sleeping in our own soul or something and we just need to repair their physical form or something and we can bring them back.

(Alternately they could have been aware but unable to communicate and instead got a backseat to all their best friend’s trauma without being able to do anything about it (besides revive them) which, ouch 😭)

Though the scene confused me a bit because the context surrounding it is a little muddy, I do find that scene with the Ballas reveal to be hilarious. The Operator and Adis are all giggly and giddy about getting to save an orokin, doubly so that it's one of the seven. They're led to believe it's such a prestigious thing and awe struck by the idea of meeting one of the most influential people in the empire alive.

And then they find out it's their shitty ass step dad who wants them dead like omg no wonder they clam up instantly. Their poor performance is going to look bad on parent teacher conference night
