A Word From Daphne

Hey, everyone! Daphne here, tasked with catching everyone up on a fun-filled week! Everyone's been incommunicado for a bit, as we all took a trip with Night Hostess to a communications conference. We took advantage of some great workshops, there, too. I'd tell you all about it, but, we're saving the details for Hostess, when she gets back from E3! (I swear, that girl has the most awesome job).

As for WGBP-related announcements, we'll start with Rock and Win Friday. The winner of the dress scarf apparently mis-read the post, and declined to accept the prize. Mycki will be re-drawing for the scarf, this week. (She assures me that original entries still count!)

Also, a heads-up that WGBP may be inactive, again, the weekend of SDCC. Rita wants to be reporting all of the weekend's happenings, but, just in case she can't, she wanted you all to know!

I get to have a little bit of fun, tonight, with song selections. Let me know if there's something you'd like to hear, too, and I'll be happy to find it!

Good afternoon, Gobblepotters!

Rita here, coming to you during a couple of minutes of downtime, in the break room. (Munching on a bacon, swiss, and pineapple sandwich, courtesy Mycki... Don't knock it, until you try it!). I'll be here for the next few hours, so, let's have some fun with it!

I'm a people person, and I love getting to know others (especially fellow fans!). So, I'll be firing off some questions, this afternoon. Answer, if you like! To be fair, I'll answer up, too. :).

Question: What is your favourite genre of fic? Do you like AUs? Romances? Something with a little humor?

Personally, I prefer a darker brand of fic. (I won't list specifics, for those easily triggered). Especially with my Gobblepot. I like 'em gritty, and full of trouble.

Okay, now, I want to poll the rest of the girls in the studio.

I don't mean to be rude but, yall don't ship hate do you? Like, do any of you ship anything in gotham besides gobblepot? I'm not trying to start anything I'm just genuinely curious. Sorry you don't have to answer.

Not a rude question, at all! I promise you, there is no ship hate in this studio! It’s something we don’t stand for. Granted, there are ships some of us just don’t go for, but, respectfully so. Not everyone enjoys the same things, and whether they do, or don’t, is just not anyone else’s business. ^^. BUT, to answer your second question… I’ve polled the room, and here’s what we’ve come up with:

NH - Generally sticks to Gobblepot, but she has a real taste for Bullock/Gordon. Recently read an idea for an Alfred/Ed piece that she’s completely on-board with.

Rita - Gobblepot, Nyllock, and Pennypot. (So my fault). Also has a fondness for Lee/Barbara.

Daphne - “Ed/Jim, every bit as much as Gobblepot, baby! *flashes dual peace signs*”

Mycki - Dude, I’ll try anything. Gobblepot, Alfred/Jim, Nyllock, Harvey/Jim, Ed/Jim, Pennypot, Gobbleworth (trust me, I know, it needs some explaining). All of it. All the time.

Rock and Win Friday - The Return

I mean, sure, we can’t offer you Kings. Or, Jedi. But, what we can offer you is another chance to win!

We’re going to start taking entries for this week’s prize... as of now! From now, until Friday afternoon, just like any post with a mention of Rock and Win Friday, and you’ll be entered to win! If you like more than one post, that’s more than one entry!

This week’s prize is a handmade dress scarf (crochet), themed around our favourite gentlemen. (We will have a picture, shortly, as soon Rita returns my camera!)
