Background
Joining a student organization at UW-Green Bay is the opportunity of a lifetime. Take it from somebody who has been involved in student orgs at the university for three years. The opportunities presented by serving in an organization can be life-changing.
As the general manager for WGBX, UW-Green Bay's on-campus radio station, I have witnessed first hand the benefits of joining an organization. Through my personal experiences I have had more doors opened to me than I could of ever imagained. Through my experiences with WGBX I can go into a radio profession with the experiences necessary to succeed.
As the general manager, I have had the opportunity to see new members grow and thrive. Students come in with little to no knowledge, yet walk out at the end of year with great experiences. Some people even change career goals after being a member of WGBX. Feel-good stories like these are what make student organizations such a benefit to individuals and the university.
