     Cyan eyes reappeared as they opened, as though expecting to find him standing there, any form of him, from the original archivist to the protector twice the medibot’s size. Which was, of course, highly unlikely, his logical and scientific mind knows better… and yet, he had almost hoped otherwise, for a nanoclick.

    It was not  f a i r  that another life was lost for their world to live again. No life, whether that happened to be his greatest source of hope and comfort for eons, or any other, or countless during the past war. And despite his age, leading was never for Ratchet, especially in matters related to ‘the big picture’ as humans would say. He could briefly when he needed to, analyze a situation for the best outcome at that moment, but not long term. He could guide the team that had become family, as he always had, but not lead them, as Optimus could.

     Perhaps this was partially why he chose to remain with the humans, to look after them so none of the others would worry, now that war had ended and a medic would no longer be needed as often, not compared to the rest. He was not a constructor any more than he was a leader, he was not a young warrior who would handle squabbles, he knew healing, and their world was healed and recovering. A doctor is no longer needed once their patient is better.

hoods are impractical and i hate them here’s why

hoods, especially hooded cloaks are aesthetic af i understand but please think before you make a character fight with a hood on, ESPECIALLY IF THEYRE A STEALTH OR RANGED CLASS

i can understand the need to sometimes mask and identity but headwraps are a thing and you could just cover the lower half of your face as well!! like just, go put smth with a hood on and try and tell me that it doesnt obscure your vision and fly off as soon as you try n do some sick combat moves.

“but what if theyre caught off guard?”  dude thats fine it happens no worries but dont try n tell me the hood stays in place through the entire fight or escape because i aint having none of that shit the only way its stayin there is with hairpins
