Unlike Qifrey, it won’t last for Coco, it just needs to heal properly, but still, hard not to see a parallel there, especially since it also happened because of the Brim Hats and the rest of the chapter is full of allusions that Coco completely follows in Qifrey’s steps, to the point Belda was nostlagic remembering about his time as Qifrey’s teacher.
On a slightly different note, I love how Belda basically claimed he was the girls’ grandpa...
...furthering the analogy that an apprentice’s teacher is akin to a parental figure in the Witches’ community. That adds even more depth to all the queer vibes about the beautiful parenthood of our four girls by Qifrey and Olruggio tbh.
