Omg now that Sonic knows Shadow won’t push him away, he’s gonna be hugging him at every chance
(Mystery vibrates so hard with excitement that she phases through the floor)
I NEED THIS!
It was legally mandated that 50% of commercials had a scene like this in the 90's.

every day you get one more yard (heh heh, “yard”)
Even my mother, who is usually the first to doubt my chances of success in anything, told me I should calm down about waiting to hear back, on the grounds that they’re not going to tell me immediately, they have to do HR visits and everything. The one thing that’s making me nervous is that I know the third step is a chat with the dean of libraries and I don’t know if that counts as part of the interview process or, since he only wants to speak to the final candidate, part of the onboarding process. And since I got invited to the second-round interview a couple of hours after I’d finished my first interview, I think it’s thrown off my expectations and now I’m like “they obviously told the person they hired right away and are taking time to craft polite rejections for the other two.”
I don’t know how this works! I spent most of the last time years doing multiple part-time teaching jobs and the adjunct hiring process is a lot less involved (and my first full-time high school job came up much later than high school jobs usually do so they were kind of desperate and I looked perfect on paper). I don’t usually make it this far when it’s a permanent job and I have to compete with other people!
