so they’re thinking about deporting this poor lonely whale which could work if he found his family but what if he doesn’t not all whales speak the same dialect, and I don’t think it’s very likely that any other family would adopt him and he’d be alone and in even more danger than before with other whales who might bully him bc orcas have a v matriarchal society and female whales sorta harass male whales and bc Luna is so lonely he might see that as a friendly advance and he might get rly badly hurt but at the same time I want this poor baby to have lil whale friends this lil baby is singing to himself someone needs to do the right thing but what is the right thing

I’m cryin whales are so beautiful and cute I love whales why would you take them out of the wild ok that’s mean and selfish why would you use living, sentient beings who cannot protest against usage verbally in a way that humans can understand and then exploit them for profit that’s fuckin rude ok and there’s studies that show that whales kill more humans while in captivity than when in the wild (I think that there aren’t any actual recordings of people being killed by orcas in the wild??? idk I’d have to check) and people at SeaWorld and Six Flags lie about the lifespan of whales (they claim that it’s around 30-40 years; orcas can live as long as humans) and also about their physique (like the flopped over fin seen on many orcas in captivity; orcas in the wild are never seen with the flopped over dorsal fin, but presentations at whale shows say that it’s very common, and a high percentage of whales have it, when they do not) I feel like if whales have to be in captivity, like absolutely have to, they should be treated respectfully (as in, don’t put them in small enclosures, don’t starve them, don’t force them to do shows, don’t let other whales bully each other so harshly that they leave rakes on each other, etc) and make life in captivity as similar to life in the wild as possible Idk man I just want these orcas to be happy

I mean I understand that nature needs to work on it’s own without our interference but this poor baby is all alone and whales are sentient creatures and whales are really intelligent and they can feel lonely and I just want this poor whale to be happy u feel me maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think staying away from him is the right decision ok I don’t what Luna to be sad I don’t want Echo to be sad I know this isn’t about what I want but I think these whales deserve to be happy
