What do you think is the best way to handle cops? If you're at a spot whether there's signs or no signs should you play it off and wait and see what they say and risk getting a ticket or just flat out book it and not even risk getting a ticket?

It is not only important to familiarize yourself with the laws and bylaws having jurisdiction in your area, but to also go to the law library and read the related case law. You can then make a more informed decision on whether you should bounce or not.

I love skating and bmx but dad doesn’t approve. He doesn’t want me to eat shit and I get that he cares and all but there aren’t many things in my life that i can say Id have confidence doing. I’ve talked to him about this and the convo starts off cool but always ends on a bad note. I just want to ride! Riding was one of my few outlets and I’ve got nothing without them. Any suggestions?

Tough spot! Have you explained what YOLO means to “dad”? Maybe you are one of those kids that’s hard to watch because you’re well beyond sketchy. To dad, everything you do looks like a brush with death. What are acceptable sports to dad? Compare the risks of that sport to skating / bmxing, and you will find that any and all can lead to an early grave. That should quell his anxieties.
