there's  a  slight  chuckle  in  response  to  her,  a  hand  scratching  the  back  of  his  palm. it  wasn't  all  the  time  that  he  had  gone  out  of  his  way  to  talk  to  people. he'd  rather  keep  to  himself... but  to  her  ?  he  wasn't  sure  what  prompted  him  to  talk  with  the  other  with  him,  but  sheng,  certainly,  didn't  mind  it  at  all.

A pause, then he pulls back against the wall. It looks as though he’s intensely thinking, for a moment. ❝ Weren't supposed to be this many lucids here tonight. Some jerk must've given them the heads up. ❞

Something snatches the headset off her head and tosses it away before she can react. When she turns around, she will find none other than what appears to be... Rex? Looking back at her with wary eyes. ~armomageddon verse, for lucy!

       lucy had made it through the hallway... hearing the the two basically compliment each other was pretty... annoying. still, she waited for her chance to go through the hallway when it was clear. when it was, she about to move when she feels the headset get knocked off. hearing she had just been caught, eyes widen as she turns towards the other that had gotten to her.

      ❝ ... rex ? ❞ she calls out, confused. eyes blink as she looks confused.  ❝ wait, wait, wait. i don’t understand. why are you here ? i thought you were with emmet ? ❞

There’s a sea of thoughts as Rex looks off into the distance, though soon that entire ocean seems to evaporate; one second the man is brooding, the next, he’s spacing off without a thought to his name. It’s not until he feels arms wrap around him that he returns to the real world, tensing up with a high-pitched yelp as he glances over.

❝ Hey, kid, I thought we established NO HUGGING -- !! ❞ he yells, trying to squirm out of the other’s grip. HE DID NOT ASK FOR THIS TODAY!

Business' breath seizes as he takes a step back, hands tensed by his sides at the terrifying expression before his face. Ah, right, the whole 'consequences to his actions' thing -- EMMET MADE IT SOUND SO EASY, but there's a bloodied history to these hands, and the same can be said of their former exchanges.
