I’m absolutely thrilled to hear that new fans are finding the show and loving it. That’s what’s gonna keep it going, and damn I hope we get another 100 episodes full of McDanno!
And it’s true that the McDanno fandom (and H50 fandon overall, tho I can mostly talk about my experiences in the McDanno side of it) is kinda teeny-tiny in Tumblr, but then again, that’s the beauty of it. :) I’ve been a part of some very huge fandoms (and still am, Marvel is my other big love) and then some small ones, and I have to say that I prefer the small ones. Yes, in small fandoms there aren’t as many new edits, conversations, metas etc. being published all the time. But it’s so much easier to get to know the people in small fandoms, and in McDanno fandom, everyone I’ve talked with has been absolutely amazing and sweet and lovely. So I highly recommend you to go to the McDanno tag regurlarly, because you’re going to find out soon how amazing this fandom really is. There’s really zero hate, which is wonderful! It’s such a great fandom to share your thoughts about the ship we all love, and just relax and enjoy it.
(If you read fanfiction, then you’re gonna love this fandom, I promise you! For such a small fandom, we have a tons of great fics and new ones are being published every day in AO3.)
Tbh, I’m kinda new in McDanno world too, and so I’m not following that many McDanno blogs. And most of them are multifandom ones, like mine is too. But sure I can recommend you few McDanno blogs! I absolutely love mcdannoarmy and mcdanno-fan. Both of these blogs are super active, like they both blog everything you ever thought you need and more. (Also I’m more than in love with mcdannoarmy for stating in their FAQ that loving Cath isn’t in anyway threat for McDanno, shhh.) And definitely also check whatifmcdanno - it’s the cutest blog EVER and will melt your heart again and again. :)
