"What Love Cannot Do” A poem by Calen Carlton
Oh love, I cannot make the moon whole tonight I am a lover not a god The storms will remain storms The clouds wish to be gray so they will be
Stars dies and time moves forward I love you but I cannot control that
Regimes fall and wars break everyday Somewhere, guns are fired Someone, fall asleep for the last time Love is a power, but it does not have the strength to stop it
I am a lover not a god I do not know what that will do It cannot sing to the Earth To heal itself I cannot rhyme words To revive everything in it
I love you That is all a lover can say And keep and promise and hold
I am your lover do me what you will
