May a character have multiple identities? Such as have a disability as well as as identify as queer?

Is there any limits on nsft content? The FAQ appears to have change to imply there's no limits now, but it previously said something along the lines of "characters simply having sex will not be accepted." Is this still a rule for the zine, or is any nsfw content allowed as long as it fits the theme and spirit of the zine? For example, I was hoping to write something about a trans character's experiences having sex as an out trans person vs before they were out - but obviously the narrative would take place while the character is "simply having sex." Would this be acceptable for the zine or not? Just wanting more clarification on where the mod team stands on this, I guess

We changed the wording on that part because it was being misunderstood too often. The intent is that nsft is fine so long as it has to do with the theme. Your concept here is perfectly fine! What we hoped to accomplish with that rule was that people would just come up with ideas more complex than two characters having sex with no other context. Since yours has context (first time as a trans adult), there’s no issue there.

So, say I have a ship that is heteroromantic but both involved are aspec and part of a queerplatonic "family unit" of unrelated adults (two sets of married partners that live together). Would this fit the zine's theme or is it toeing the lie too much? (Related, would queerplatonic in general fit the theme?)

So long as it’s shown in the piece, yes! It may be harder to depict but if you can show it this is fine. Queerplatonic and aspec relationships are welcome to be shown.

Yes, absolutely! No matter how you spin it, no matter what genders are involved or the structure —polyamory will always be a valid type of queer relationship.

Do you accept asexual content? As in, a fic/art piece about character who is asexual but still in a relationship?

Yes! Absolutely! Asexuality, aromanticism, agender, any way of being aspec (including microlabels) is allowed in our zine and we believe it will be richer for having that diversity in it. Aspec pieces don’t need to involve a relationship either if you don’t want it to. We welcome all forms of queerness.
