Good news for shoppers olong the Côte d’Azure!!

The French government have added Antibes to the list of “tourist areas”, where shops can open on Sundays and evenings until midnight. Nice, Cannes, Cagnes-sur Mer, Saint-Laurent-di-Var, Deauville and Val d’Europe and Paris are already included with support for the local mayors, unions and employers organizations.

The criteria taken in to account for inclusion are; ‘having an international reputation of offering commercial or cultural matters or heritage or leisure” and ” being served by a good national and international transportation infrastructure” ; “experience tremendous influx of foreign tourists, rated by the amount of purchase or share in total turnover of the area”.
