Forgive my lack of correspondence in the past few months, I have been quite busy as of late. I hope everyone in Iselia is well. In Altamira there are some exciting changes that may interest you. Stacy and I would like to see you for a visit someday soon, if you are able to. It’s something I would prefer to share in person. I hope to see you soon.
Colette loved to get mail. It brought her news from far away places, people she didn’t get to see nearly as often as she would like. The invitation in Regal’s letter provided an excuse she was quite pleased to seize upon, a reason to travel for a bit. Unlike Zelos, she could not drop everything and fly away at a moment’s notice, as she had returned her borrowed rheaird. He had confided in her once that he’d stolen the one he currently had from Yuan, but Yuan apparently knew about it and had done nothing to retrieve it. The temptation to ask Yuan for her own was strong, but there was also a certain charm in travelling the long way. She got to visit all the Houses of Salvation and see the pastors she had met as a child, along with new ones who had trained in Tethe’alla instead.
She had written her own letter back before she had set out, dropping it into the mail the same day she’d gotten Regal’s letter. The idea of going to visit him again had been too exciting for her to wait.
It was so wonderful to see your letter. Everyone in Iselia is doing great. I’m excited to hear about the changes in Altamira, and I look forward to hearing about them in person. Thank you very much for your invitation! I should be there in a few weeks, there are a few things I need to do here before I can come visit. Tell Stacy I said Hi and I can’t wait to see you guys again!

Her trip had been uneventful, though perhaps a bit lonely. She usually went with Lloyd or someone else when she traveled, rarely heading out on her own. Frank had accompanied her partway, and a traveling priest had gone between two of the Houses of Salvation with her as well, but it wasn’t quite the same. Still, she was in good spirits as she arrived in Altamira and headed toward Regal’s home. She couldn’t wait to hear about his exciting changes, and eagerly looked around as she walked, trying to see if she could tell what was different before she even got there.
As she waited in the foyer for someone to inform Regal and Stacy that she had arrived, she bounced impatiently on the balls of her feet. When the door opened, she turned with a bright smile.
“Regal! It’s good to see you!”
