What a lucky break! After moving away from home, Alois felt rather lonely in his roomy apartment. He had found himself reading more and more. Mostly, works from the internationally acclaimed author Usami Akihiko. The way they wrote and their tales just drew him in unlike anything he’d ever read before. Slowly, he began to visit his neighborhood book store more and more, he would find a book of Akihiko’s that he hadn’t read yet and be finished reading it by the next day. To Alois, this was merely an involved hobby, to other’s it seemed more like an obsession. But he didn’t care, reading made him happy. It took him away from his past, to places where people couldn’t hurt him. Even now, none of it seemed to matter- At this moment he was standing in line at the bookstore happy as could be clutching Usami Akihiko’s newest novel and waiting to get it signed by the one and only author himself! Alois was nearly jumping for joy right there, but he contained himself for the most part, unable to shake the grin on his face.
