Like a vulture circling a corpse, Patrick paced around the short boy, his slender arms resting at his sides. It wasn’t often he encountered one of the Losers Club alone, and now that he had...He had plans for the boy.

“Where are your friends?” The brunette mumbles, ceasing his stride in front of Eddie, “ I mean...what are the chances that I get you all to myself?” Patrick chuckles, his lips rubbing together. 

“ If you run...this is going to be a lot worse for you, but you already know that, right?”

It wasn’t a ghost, at least she didn’t think so, who knew she was terrified of practically everything anyways so it wasn’t like it mattered much. But, she was sure she had seen something and it was watching her, them. ❝No, it was just that, I thought I saw something. ❞ Carefully fingers moved to run along the edges of buttons on previously adjusted cardigan before looking down at her dress and sighing softly. ❝It was probably nothing. I am just, I am probably just being paranoid with Georgie, Betty and Patrick all missing.❞

      * EDDIE WOULD BE LYING IF HE SAID THIS WAS THE WEIRDEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO HIM. it came pretty goddamn close, sure, but — well, having his older self come and comfort him was not the top of the list, surprisingly enough. he let’s out a snort, eyes GLANCING up at his future self, eyebrows slightly furrowed. “ you know … this is a little weird. ” but, at the same time? oddly reassuring. hmm.

School was out and the summer was theirs and to kick it off, they had decided to go down to the Barrens – a place they spent a lot of their time, to play. The first thing on the agenda was building a dam. It was pretty small, and not all that effective, but they were proud of their creation.

Or at least they had been until Bowers and his lap dogs showed up. Henry had looked pretty angry as he demanded to know if they had seen some kid run by.

Their answer hadn’t pleased him and after they trampled over their dam, Bowers punched Eddie in the face, giving him a bloody nose. Thankfully they left shortly after, not seeing Eddie as he gasped and struggled for breath only to find his inhaler empty.

They had been in such a situation before, where Eddie needed his inhaler only to find it empty, so he had taken to carrying one himself – just in case. Eddie was his closest friend after all.

“Calm d-down E-Eddie.” He said as he crouched down by his fallen friend, holding the inhaler out for him. “B-breathe.”
